You Gotta Know: How to Learn IT, ITSM/ITIL, & BI

successHow do you learn IT, ITSM/ITIL, and BI?  It might seem difficult, but the important thing to remember is that they all relate.  In an article on Jorgen Winther’s blog, he also makes another important argument.  Learning these things requires continuous improvement.  Total mastery doesn’t exist.  As soon as you have mastered one improvement for your business, you will realize that there are still more ways to improve.

Since IT, ITSM/ITIL, and BI are all related, they should be improving together in a learning cycle, which Winther calls PDCA .  The PDCA graph is a big circle, and it tells you there will always be more improvement because there will always be more to understand.  There will always be problems.  The best way to improve your organization is to embrace the problems, learn from them a little at a time, and come out an even better company.
