Be Organized and Keep Your Meetings Focused

Try to stay as organized as you can. Keep a track record of work completed projects and on-going projects. Also, make notes of your team members’ ideas, requirements, issues, and comments. Identify owners for each actionable item.

Know Everyone’s Roles and Responsibilities on Every Project

You must clearly understand your roles and responsibilities. You must know:

  • Who is responsible for doing the work?
  • Who is accountable for final decisions?

This is useful in clarifying roles and responsibilities in cross-functional processes. Remember, your ultimate goal is to deliver project plans, monitor risk, manage the issues, and maintain excellent communication.

Have a Full Understanding of Project Risks and Objectives

Have a thorough understanding of the project in terms of objectives, planning, and result. Establish the goals of your new project. Then, plan, communicate and organize your project. Knowing your exact scope of work is the key to controlling the rest. Besides, keeping an eye on risks arising during project execution, with a risk mitigation plan in place.
