4 Things to Know about Office Injuries

Falling down is the most common office accident, and it causes the most disabling injuries too. Tripping over loose wires or carpet, slipping on a wet floor, and bending over in a bad chair are all an express trip to a wheelchair. An article from Albert Einstein College of Medicine shares this and three other tips.

Tip number two—even lifting small loads can be injurious if you lift the wrong way. When taking something off the ground, lift by squatting toward the floor and then using your legs to straighten up. Do the reverse when putting an object down.

Tip number three is barely a tip at all, but it is worth saying anyway—avoid running into stuff. Running into stuff hurts. And lastly, practice good ergonomics. There are plenty of tips for how to do that.
