Is it a foggy day in Ideaville? Are the problems piling up without end? Steve Sponseller writes for Entrepreneur with five ways you can see the light.
First, recognize innovation opportunities. This means looking for problems within your business and within your industry that could be in need of a fresh solution. Look for inspiration outside your industry too, as most innovations consist of adopting a solution that worked in one place and applying it elsewhere. To best enable yourself to think creatively, determine what type of place and time of day you tend to do your most creative thinking, and plan your time accordingly. Schedule frequent innovation sessions so your time does not get totally consumed by other opportunities. Then just remember to involve your whole team.
