7 Ways to Work Faster on Slow Connections

Microsoft has a helpful article teaching you how to work around a slow Internet connection at work. To begin, remember that compressing files lets you fit more into emails and allows you to send them faster.  Similarly, keeping your email signature simple and sparse on graphics will lessen the load as well. You can email groups of people quicker if you set up Contact Groups in Outlook. When working offline, you can use Cached Exchange Mode to retain access to all your email. You can also save browser pages for offline access as well. But online, you can increase browser speed by turning off graphics. Another way to increase speed is to increase available cache for the browser, so that it can store more temporary files.
