What issues and defects can ITIL have if it is used in cloud computing?

    Michael, ITIL is an IT Service Management set of best practices. If by issues you really mean “Incidents” (which are caused by software defects)  and “Problem Management” (related to proactively preventing defects), then the delivery platform does not matter. What ever technical considerations are required by “cloud computing” are identified just as if you were implementing or changing an application on a local infrastructure.

    Yes, you must know the technical considerations for “cloud computing” so you put in place the appropriate processes which will “PREVENT” incidents from occurring or make it easier to perform Problem Management (root cause analysis) on that delivery platform.  Don’t confuse an application delivery platform with IT Service Management best practices. Things like , Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management etc. must be done well no matter the delivery platform – Cloud Computing or a Local Computer.
