A Shortcut to Success in Consulting?

Is there a shortcut to consulting success, or to any type of real success? Typically, not really. In a video at Consulting Success, consulting coach Michael Zipursky puts this into perspective. He reminds us that the people who are always looking for shortcuts are the ones who are really just “tasting” their options. They are not actually committing to a course of action, and as a result, their attempts at shortcuts only put them further behind. Zipursky believes that the one reliable practice for success is to remain dedicated to following through on the things you know you should be doing—even if you do not necessarily like doing those things (like networking events). Persistence is a rope that will pull you out of any hole.
