In a bite-sized article for CIO.com, Erik Lauber gives three quick pointers on how to mend the coworker relationship that has migrated south for winter and decided to stay there. First, always remember that fear and insecurities are generally at the root of bad behavior. Try to build trust and emphasize that the things you do are never intended to hurt the other person. Second, you may need to spend some time apart from the other person before it is really possible to repair the relationship, but try to keep this period as short as possible. And finally, never let yourself believe that there is no chance left to fix a relationship. You are two quasi-rational human beings, and any two quasi-rational human beings have the ability to find common ground between them.
