6 Ways to Make a Great First Impression

If you want to make a great first impression, you should go into it with a game plan. Jacqueline Whitmore writes for Entrepreneur with six tips. Before a meeting, do your homework on the person and the sort of work they do. If other people are likely to be present, find out exactly who and research them as well. Be early to the meeting both out of respect and to give you time to compose yourself. Dress for the occasion, remembering that expensive does not mean better. Give a firm handshake that does not last longer than a few seconds. And lastly, to make a good impression, focus on the needs of the person speaking to you ahead of wanting to talk about yourself and why you are such a great person.
