How to Motivate Workers in Tough Times

Dark clouds loom over any company at one point or another. An article for Wall Street Journal offers some tips for how to let some light into the office to keep workers going. For starters, keep an open-door policy and be candid about things. Stop false rumors from spreading. If you are feeling stressed, do not project that onto others. If employees feel dissatisfied, see if you can shift them into a new role that makes better use of their abilities. In general, make the effort to see where employees’ goals and ambitions lie and do what you can to build them toward their aspirations.
