When, How, and How Often to Take a Break

Neil Patel offers a slightly different take on break time in an article for Inc. He answers some basic questions about how to take a stellar break at work, using collected research as evidence. Patel finds that you should take a break between every 50 and 90 minutes, and once you pin down a precise amount of time, stick to that rhythm. Some studies suggest that a break between 15 and 20 minutes could be ideal. As for what to do with your break, Patel recommends finding a change of scenery, moving around, and engaging different parts of your brain than you were using while doing work.
