Do You Suffer from Workplace Anxiety?

Jenna Goudreau writes for Forbes about root causes of anxiety in the workplace. Most anxiety triggers stem from one of five sources. They are fear of speaking in public, fear of interacting with authority figures, fear of taking on new challenges, fear of being noticeably nervous, and perfectionism. Women are surprisingly 60 percent more likely to have anxiety disorders in their lifetimes. There are strategies that can be embodied to overcome anxiety though. For instance, if worried about giving a presentation, you can rationally think through your situation and realize that you have been selected to present information because your opinion is trusted. Every strategy ultimately concludes with you confronting your anxiety though. As the article states, only “playing defense” solves nothing. You can read the full article here:
