The Importance of Team-Building Activities

In an article for Chron, Crystal Vogt explains briefly why team-building activities have value. The first reason is that such activities allow employees to build trust among themselves. If people do not feel they can rely on each other to get things done, then work likely will not be completed efficiently. Another thing good team-building can do is ease tension between colleagues who might have rubbed each other the wrong way in the past. This happens when people get to know each other on a more personal level, beyond their differences at work. In turn, increased collaboration and more effective communication result.
