Encouraging employees to come to work sick is a sure recipe to create more sick employees, so instead enable people to work effectively at home when possible, in addition to just offering more flexible sick leave. Another thing you can do is combine job hazard analysis and risk mapping, which together create a practical assessment of where danger exists on a job and how employee behavior might exacerbate or introduce new dangers.
