4 Steps to Build Rapport with Colleagues

You want rapport, and you want it now, so here are four steps to get there faster courtesy of Chron. First, make the effort to retain the various details that colleagues tell you about themselves, whether personal or business-related. Second, track down the colleague you like the least and offer to do something nice for that person; this establishes or reestablishes a positive line of communication from which the relationship can improve. Third, consider a recreational activity that you and your colleagues might be able to engage in outside of work (but do not be shocked if people like me decline every time). Finally, be polite. Ask people how their weekend was, either because you care or because you care about at least looking like you care. Simple!
