Taking Better Notes and Absorbing More Information in Less Time

Oxford Royale Academy knows a thing or two about knowledge, and so they have provided an article about better absorbing and retaining information. Among other things, it recommends listening for sound bites and general summaries in presentations for you to take note of, so that they can become anchors for the ideas being conveyed. You can filter out irrelevant information being presented by deciding in advance what the goal of your listening is; only the information that clearly aligns with a goal is worth writing down. You can use a laptop or tablet to take down notes faster, but be weary that people who physically write notes down absorb them better, because they are more likely to think about how to phrase it themselves.
