Ultimately, all styles are some blend of “how much task direction you provide through instructions and training; how much autonomy you give employees in making decisions; and how much you invest in building relationships through open communication, coaching and engaging employees.” Second, research the ways you can become more persuasive with your arguments. Third, clearly communicate to employees how they are accountable for given results. Fourth, engage your employees such that they feel an emotional attachment to the business’s success.
