5 Ways to Stay Energized at Work

David Lapedis offers up five quick, no-gimmicks suggestions for keeping juiced at the office. Take ‘em or leave ‘em, here they are. First, just get moving—some stretches, a walk, whatever. It will bring more oxygen to the body. Second, eat healthy snacks every two to three hours to keep metabolism active, and of course always be drinking water. Third, take breaks between big chunks of work, because you earned it and there is no point in exhausting yourself. Stemming from that, you want to make sure you only focus on one major task at a time, because multitasking drains you without having offered the benefits of working on each task individually. Finally, remember that there is a good reason why you are doing the work you do, and let that reason motivate you to its completion. Nice and simple.
