Are you the Code King or Queen? Would you like to casually build worlds out of your fingertips? Javin Paul writes with ten tips for your ascent to greatness.
First and most obviously—do a lot of coding to develop experience. Read books, such as Clean Code and Effective Java, and blogs to then benefit from others’ experiences. Seek out smartly written code on the web and read that too. Talk to fellow programmers about their strategies. Contribute to open source code and sign up for their mailing lists. Likewise participate at Stack Overflow and on forums. Practice data structure, algorithms, and design-related problems. Then write a unit test and do code review. For a much lengthier and thoughtful explanation, you can read Paul’s full post here (Just be weary of his bad grammar!): http://javarevisited.blogspot.com/2014/01/10-tips-to-improve-programming-skill-become-better-programmer.html
