In a short article for Forbes, Paul B. Brown reassesses some old tenets of business to see what is still true about healthy business growth. Among other things, he finds that subcontracting is still a good idea, because it allows owners to stick with what they know instead of having to learn another business. You can even maintain low pricing if you play one contractor off against another. When it comes to hiring, Brown believes in the beginning that you might want to hire people who are a little overqualified.
