The Trick to Saying ‘No’ to Your Boss

Gus Lubin writes for Business Insider with one quick tip for saying no to your boss. You do it by… not saying no.  Instead, express enthusiasm that you would be happy to help, but then proceed to list all of the other responsibilities that you already have to address. After you have run down the list, tell your boss the time when you will be able to start on this new project—which will likely be some days from now. Your boss will either accommodate your extended time needs with regard to finishing your work, or your boss will give you a “never mind.” Either scenario is a win for you.
