Working from home can be a terrific asset to you and even your company, as long as you do it right. Jill Duffy writes for PC Magazine about the numerous ways you can get the most out of telecommuting.
Some Starter Tips
Maintain regular hours, the same as you would in the office. Set ground rules and boundaries with your family about your work space. Ask your employer immediately for any additional documents or machinery you will need to work from home. Keep a separate phone number for work calls. Try to still squeeze in real face time wherever you can. And if you are sick, take the day off; if you would be a weak and miserable worker in the office, being weak and miserable working at home will not make you any more effective.
