Spending Your Vacation Days is Good for America

In an article for CBS News, Faith Salie assures us that it is not a good thing that a collective 500+ million vacation days went unused in the past year. She says it is better for yourself and the country to take the days off. Surprisingly, one statistic says that managers believe employees who use all their vacation days are 15 percent less likely to be dedicated and productive, and 10 percent less likely to be promoted. According to Salie, the European Union legally guarantees 20 paid vacation days per year. For the sake of employees’ mental health, America should start following this trend.
