Some employees just do not perform to expectations. It is the boss’s duty to take decisive action in these cases, and an article at Entrepreneur shows the way to disciplining in the most appropriate way.

Slap on the Wrist or Kick to the Curb

Establish logical rules and an atmosphere of trust in the first place, so that when you reprimand employees, they should probably have already seen the reprimand coming. Document poor performance, and do not make any rash decisions.
