Teleconference Etiquette 101

A PDF from the University of Alaska Fairbanks breaks down the basic rules for courtesy for when you are on conference calls. You want to choose a quiet location and understand how your phone works in advance. Call in on time and turn off your call waiting, because everyone else will be able to hear it. Get familiar with your mute button and use it judiciously. Never put a conference call on hold, because phones react in different ways to such anomalies and it could potentially cause major disruptions to the conference.
