Taking Killer Notes That Keep You on Top of Your Game

In an article and as a video, Stever Robbins provides five quick tips for taking the best notes. First, use pen and paper, because keyboard typing pulls your attention away from the speaker. Record all action items that come up. Use symbols of your own design to highlight decisions, action items, and other important information. Keep all notes in one notebook, with a title and date on every page to keep organized. Then consider taking a picture of the page of notes and emailing it to yourself, so that you have another way by which to access the information.
