You lose a lot of time in your workday when you have to play hide-and-seek with files that should be within arm’s reach. Amanda C. Kooser has a few tips for keeping documents organized across the organization.

Helping Hand

A traditional filing system will work just fine in most cases to keep things organized, and you should make time at least once a week to file papers away properly. Keep all necessary office supplies in one spot that can be easily accessed by everyone. On the digital front, make a policy for what sort of email should be retained and what can be deleted. Clients take conscious note of when an office is spic-and-span, so the benefits to keeping a clean house really are myriad.
