10 Tips for Getting Through Work, Even with a Cough or Cold

In an article for WebMD, Suz Redfearn spells out some ways for you to keep your head above water when you have to go into work while sick.

Staying Alive

Drink clear, non-caffeinated liquids all day to stay hydrated and loosen mucus. Eat ice chips to sooth throat discomfort, or use cough drops or throat spray. Use saline spray on a stuffy nose, and (obviously) stay away from smoke. Take acetaminophen, ibuprofen, or naproxen to reduce fever and inflammation. Minimize your contact with others to reduce risk of spreading sickness. Once at home, eat a good meal and rest, using a humidifier to ease stuffiness while you sleep.
