Philippine VP: Tougher Cyber security Policy needed

In the U.S., ongoing news reports in the international media have revealed operational details about the National Security Agency (NSA) and its issues. The rise of these “attacks” threatening government, businesses and even individuals remain that, in the Philippines, prompted Vice President Jejomar Binay to appeal for a “stronger national cyber security policy”. J.M. Tuazon of tries to shed light regarding the issue in this article.

In a recent conference, the Philippine VP urged government agencies and the private sector to work hand in hand in combating cyber security threats besetting the country. He said that it is imperative to “convene our brightest minds to build the best defenses” against rising cybercrime and cyber warfare, urging cooperation among private sector players and the government to achieve such a goal.
