Being a Project Manager is by no means a walk in the park. It’s not just about acting like a boss and ordering people around while you sit pretty. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. This is a statement coming from a PM based in the Philippines. And in this article, Richard Shy narrates just how a PM goes about handling the intricacies of the massive project – one in which the PM lead the deployment of Google Apps for a Philippine government agency that had about 600,000 employees.

Shy tells us all about the opportunity presented, the challenges such as training people, time pressure and everything in between until the PM and the team evidently reached a successful conclusion. An ambitious vision, which in turn was what motivated the team to deliver real results.
