5 Ways to Beat Germs at the Office

An article at Women’s Health helps you preserve the sanctity of the office with some get-tough tips. One study suggests cubicles are the germiest place in the office, so you need to stay vigilant about wiping them down and limiting your contact with objects. Furthermore, when you wash your hands, really scrub them for upwards of 45 seconds, because scrubbing “dislodges the organisms from the surface.” Back at the desk, use alcohol as a drying agent on your hands to deprive germs of the water they need. And since 20 percent of office cups are known to contain bacteria associated with defecation, bring your own cups or a regularly washed mug.
