4 Good and 4 Bad New Year’s Office Resolutions

There are right ways and wrong ways to make office resolutions. Renee Floyd writes an article deciphering the difference. Do not obsess over getting a raise or eating fewer snacks. Do not focus “more on work” or on getting to work earlier either, because working too many hours has been linked to clinical depression and there is no guarantee you will be more productive anyway. Here is what you should do instead. Seek out more training to become more effective at things you already do. Use a standing desk as a practical alternative to forcing yourself to eat less, and get a new hobby to keep your mind sharp and engaged. Listen to your body, determine how and when you are most productive, and plan your days around that knowledge. This is the year you give yourself a full upgrade.
