First-of-a-kind Philippine IT Accounting Software

An article from Sun Star Davao by Antonio L. Colina IV cites how a group of local Filipino developers modernize the country’s accounting practice by rolling out innovative software called Easy Journal Accounting System. It is the first accounting software in the Philippines capable to address the accountants' peeve of making manually the BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) statutory reports, altering the current practice into computer-generated BIR and management reports.

The software, launched by IT firm Vantagepoint earlier this year, aims not only to solve the local market’s demand for an accounting tool based on Philippine set-up but also focuses more on empowering small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The IT firm was surprised as to how fast and how warm the welcome reception was for the Easy Journal product because of its main objective which is to develop software that can be availed by smaller firms, but can equally serve the larger companies.
