Who was the first player in NBA History to miss 5000 free throws in his career?


 Wilt Chamberlain

Wilt played in 14 seasons from 1959-1973. Of 11,862 free throw attempts, he missed 5805. His career free throw percentage was .511. He consistently used his under-waist scooping style. He died in 1999, 20 years after being inducted into the Hall of Fame.
