Back from the Holidays: Get into the Swing of Things at Work

Sayeh Pezeshki has three quick tips for getting your head back into work-mode after you have eaten all the turkey and passed out on the sofa. First, give yourself some catch-up days, whether that means actually taking another day off work or just spending a day clearing out your inbox and getting all your tasks in place for the rest of the week. Make an accessible to-do list and stick with it, crossing off items with great satisfaction as you complete them. Get the things you dread out of the way up front, so that everything else feels that much easier afterward. Then just remember that getting back into a normal schedule at home is equally important to getting back to normal at work. If you feel out of sync in one place, you will inevitably feel out of sync in the other.
