International travel is challenging to anyone, but perhaps doubly so for anyone who wants to check their email. Staying connected enough to conduct business is something that has hamstrung plenty of executives, and it’s for this very reason that Darren Murph writes this post on Engadget. The first warning: don’t expect your phone to work, and if it does, don’t expect anything other than a 300 dollar bill when you get home. The article has a nice comparison chart for phone usage, and a very good suggestion about putting some credit onto your Skype account to allow for much cheaper calling to home base. So before you head out of the country, take a look at this article to determine how you’ll phone home.
