8 Ways to Ensure You Still Have a Vacation—Even If You Have to Work

Sometimes your workplace is just so dependent upon your abilities that not even vacation is sacred ground. For those times, an article at The Daily Traveler collects advice from eight executives at various businesses. Among other things, you need to find ways to compartmentalize your time, and rather than dedicate one hour a day to email, consider just scheduling work for times when you know your family will be off doing other things. Compact power strips can keep you going when power outlets are scarce. Only carry around as many devices as you really need at a given time. The goal is to minimize stress and maximize fun.
