7 Habits to Win in Office Politics

Be a habitual winner. Lawrence Cheok breaks down seven ways to win the political office game. First, be aware that you have a choice, and know what it is you want to achieve. Focus on your circle of influence, because you are probably not a miracle worker. Do your best not to take sides. Do not let things get personal either, since taking a swing at somebody becomes less satisfying during the subsequent car ride down to the precinct. You should seek to understand before being understood. Lastly, think win-win. Businesses function best when its employees are able to prosper in unison.
