Ready to Quit? 5 Bad Reasons to Leave Your Job

Not every reason to want to quit your job is a good one. Amy Levin-Epstein writes for CBS Money Watch about the wrong attitudes that lead you to quit. Better pay at another job is the first bad reason, in that while more money is good, it is only one of a mountain of factors you should consider. The second reason is because you hate your direct manager; sure, that person may be a monster, but you are not going to be working with that person forever. Next is quitting to work for a good former boss, which sounds great on paper, but what if your boss leaves? Dodge get-rich-quick startups, because of course you should. And finally, do not quit just because you hate the job; make sure you have another one lined up. Employed and miserable is better than homeless and miserable.
