How to Make Good Decisions Quickly: 8 Ideas that Really Work

Making good decisions quickly—not quick decisions, or half-thought-out decisions, but good decisions—is hard work. In this article by Marcia Hoeck, it’s shown how “lack of decision” was a root cause of many business failures. So how can someone work past the hesitation and make a good decision quickly? Well, it comes down to a few things: to start with, use your intuition, and ask yourself if the decision agrees with who you are (rather than what is expected of you). Next, question snap decisions, run your decision past your values, and consider the decision like a test. There are also some more interesting suggestions as well (including thinking of an answer in a different language and sensing how your body is responding to your possible decisions).
