Effect Change, Drive Business

A project manager must learn not only to embrace change as it comes, but to create change within their organization to help generate those opportunities for change and success. This post by Peter Tarhandis, PMP, lists 10 principles he pulled and modified from Booz Allen Hamilton’s consulting principles.

The list includes:

1.      Address the “human side” systematically

2.      Start at the top

3.      Involve every layer

4.      Make the formal case

5.      Create ownership

6.      Communicate the message

7.      Assess the cultural landscape

8.      Address culture explicitly

9.      Prepare for the unexpected

10.  Speak to the individual

Each piece of advice is further explained by Tarhandis, and provide a great way to begin creating the change your organization needs to create those opportunities for growth and advancement.
