Sometimes leaving really is the only choice. Jayne Mattson comes up with eight signs that it is time to hit the road. Your relationship with your boss changed. Work and life values are no longer being met. You are left out of decision-making meetings. You are not being asked to take on high-visibility assignments. You are frustrated with the direction of the company. You keep yourself up at night recounting high pressure conversations at work. You are juggling politics more than doing your job. Finally, you have lost your passion and you dread having to show up at all. Your job should align with the goals you have set for yourself in your career, if not outright then at least as a stepping stone.
