7 Tips for Getting New Employees Up to Speed Fast

Installation is always the dullest and slowest part of bringing home flashy new electronics, but that does not need to be the case with new work hires. Lyndsay Swinton offers seven ways to speed up the process. You should indicate location of break rooms and bathrooms immediately. Pay for team lunch on the first day. Encourage others to welcome the new person. Provide an organization chart to break down who does what across departments. Take care of all security passes beforehand. Book reviews and meetings six months in advance. Finally, have someone explain the subtleties of office politics. That should be enough to get your employee plugged in and fired up.
