Small Business Best Practices for Email Management

The little guys need tips when it comes to composing email too. Roni Jacobson writes about what small businesses can do to better manage email. First, she says to decide whether an email is referential or requires action and to file it appropriately. If you believe an email legitimately does not pertain to you, delete it. If responding to an email takes longer than two minutes, delegate or defer it. Open and save email attachments so that you can store away emails without the attachment and maintain your storage limit. You should also remember to make use of flagging and color coding to keep track of everything; make your inbox sparkle.
