10 Trends to Boost Shareholder Value

The University of Tennessee identified 10 ideas which affect the supply chain and drive businesses to be more competitive, according to this post by Andrew Allen. Allen explains how these 10 trends can keep a business focused and aware of what changes or optimizations need to occur. They include customer relationship management, collaborative relationships (between customer and supplier), and transformational strategies which allow for record breaking revenue.

Other trends include:

  • Process integration
  • Driver-based metrics
  • Information sharing and visibility
  • Demand management
  • Talent management
  • virtual integration
  • Value-based management

Each of these trends are explained to help provide actionable items within your organization and, hopefully, lead to significant results. While it's unreasonable, perhaps, to expect each of these trends to be picked up and followed by a supply chain, it's not unreasonable to take a look at your own supply chain and how well it's handling the items included in the list.
