Why Should Project Managers Care About PPM?

Project Portfolio Management is becoming more and more important in IT. But some project managers are slow to realize the benefits. In this article, Michael Greer highlights some of the PPM basics. Greer goes on to explain how it can benefit project managers (easier alignment, less cost, expected results), and what they can do if no PPM effort exists in their business (including documentation of problems occurring due to the lack of PPM to show the next level of management).
