Why Projects Succeed – Clear Business Objectives

Projects succeed because of clear business objectives: they dictate how projects should proceed in the face of difficulty, and give the definition of “success” so a project can have a clear ending. In this post from a series, Roger Kastner explains how clear business objectives make it possible to focus and prioritize, guide problem solving, and measure completion. Kastner also gives a personal example of how unclear business objectives can bring a project to its knees – and how he attempted to avoid that problem.
