Stop It! 5 Strategies To Fail Fast On IT Projects

According to Jonathan Feldman, realizing a project is failing and recognizing that failure can save both time and effort, but quite often projects take on a life of their own, and those involved aren't willing to recognize the inevitable. Escaping sunk costs is a huge achievement, and Feldman gives us 5 tips for recognizing and ending doomed projects. One that makes the most sense (but is oftentimes overlooked) is defining what failure looks like. By creating this simple definition for your projects, you can objectively recognize the signs pointing to a project in trouble (or on its way), and save yourself future headaches.
