Software Product Selection: Improved Methods, Improved Results

Selecting new products to be used in your company can be an amazingly stressful experience. Inevitably the people responsible for choosing the most cost effective, far reaching solution will disagree with each other and flip-flop on a choice. Worse yet, there is a real possibility that the choice will be made using factors that do not actually evaluate the quality of the software. Andres Perez hopes to provide a better way to evaluate and select software products, and in this sprawling post he demonstrates why utilizing analytical evaluators (rather than a subjective 1-5 scale, for instance) can not only result in a better selection, but also in saved time and money.
