Help! The requirements keep changing and I can’t nail them down (part 1)

It's tough to get a group of people to agree on anything, and even harder to get them to stay in agreement. While this is just part of life, it's a costly truth when it comes to project management. This post from Project Management Tips recognizes just how these changes come about (a hallway meeting where additions to the project are made, or a meeting where the agreed upon steps are now no longer clear), and goes on to list some of the warning signs to look out for: the need to chase people down for agreements, no clear end to the project, instant “depreciation” of project plan.
